Hey, I’m Kristen.

You have no idea how excited I am that you’ve made it to my blog! I’m a native of Southern Illinois who swore in HS that she would get out of this small town. I’m glad I changed my mind and came back. I love my community, my people. This is home.

I am a wife of 8 years, a foster/adoptive momma, SAHM, a photographer and first and foremost a servant of my Jesus. I love people being a connector of people. My husband and I have the sweetest 5 year old little man that we adopted in June of 2022 and a firecracker little girl who was born in 2020.

I am a foster momma to the most stellar 2 year old boy. He’s been in our family since he was 4 days old and has completely changed our lives. He’s the reason I can write this blog. Trust me, you’ll hear lots about him!

I am a coffee fanatic, Parks and Rec loving, Game Show network watching, STL Cardinals, Bill Murray and Stevie Wonder fan!

My hope and prayer is that this blog gives you a true insight into the world of foster care. May it encourage you, challenge you and get you thinking about how you can get involved in Jesus’ call to care for the vulnerable.
